What is the student dress code?

Lutheran East students wear a school uniform that consists of khaki-colored bottoms (boys or girls) or uniform skirt (for girls), plus a white button-up top, uniform necktie or bow tie (boys), and uniform blazer (boys and girls). Girls have the option of wearing an approved v-neck sweater or sweater vest with their button-up top. Shoes must be dress-style shoes or boots, including Uggs, but excluding Crocs and tennis shoes. More detailed information about dress code can be found in the Student Handbook or through the Admissions Office.

Does Lutheran East offer transportation?

Yes, Lutheran East is happy to offer student transportation on our own buses to and from several locations around Cleveland’s near east side. Inquire with the Admissions Office for current dropoff/pickup locations and bus fees.

How do I apply for tuition assistance?

Upon completing your application to Lutheran East, which is free to submit, you’ll also have the option to simultaneously apply for tuition assistance. 100% of students at Lutheran East receive some form of tuition assistance. Our Admissions team will guide you through the application process for both enrollment and tuition assistance

What scholarships or tuition credits are available?

Through the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce, scholarship opportunities including the EdChoice Scholarship, EdChoice Expansion Scholarship, and Cleveland Scholarship may be applicable depending on your circumstances. Scholarships may also be available through The Lutheran Scholarship Granting Organization of Ohio. Additionally, families may qualify for tuition discounts if they are members of an Association or Partner Church, and/or if they have multiple students enrolled at Lutheran East simultaneously

What’s the best time of year to apply?

Lutheran East accepts applications from October through June for the following school year. If you are interested in applying for the current school year, contact the Admissions Office to determine availability.

What can we expect at an Admissions Open House?

During an Admissions Open House, prospective students and their families will be welcome to take a campus tour, meet the Admissions team, ask questions of student ambassadors, explore Lutheran East’s academic and extracurricular programs, and learn about scholarships and tuition assistance.

What can we expect during a Shadow Day?

Prospective students visiting us for a Shadow Day will be paired with a current student, who they will shadow during a real school day. They’ll attend classes, eat lunch with students, and attend Chapel. A Shadow Day is an ideal opportunity to truly experience a day as a Falcon.

What is the Admissions Placement Test?

The Placement Test is a required step in the Admissions process, and is designed to indicate whether a prospective student is a good fit for Lutheran East’s academic curriculum. It also provides valuable insight for School Counselors to use when scheduling an incoming student’s first semester of courses.
